Windows 7 slight video tearing (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

Just installed new copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and fresh install of latest SAF 5.00 and MP. Video card is HD Radeon 3450 with the very latest Catalyst Center and display drivers. Everything is working video wise but i am noticing some slight video tearing at the top of the tv screen. I am new to Windows 7 so I am not sure if there are some options in MP I should maybe not have turned on like they were when i was using XP. I keep hearing about the term AERO but i have no idea if that is on or not and if it should be. Basically i have left all the options at default in catalyst center. I do have the refresh Frame rate settings enabled in Media Portal configuration. Its not terrible but more noticable then when i was running xp.

Hi Elvis, yes Aero should be enabled. If you don't know how or if it's on, check this link How to Turn On and Enable Aero in Windows 7 (Enable Aero Peek) My Digital Life. Your card supports aero and there should be no problem with it. Only problem is with newest Catalyst 10.8 and overscan setting which can be fixed by this small utility http://www.oshinetworks.com/ATI_Underscan_Fix.2.0.zip 'till AMD repairs that in new drivers.
