Hi Guys

Please be kind to me - I am a newbie I have an Alienware with Windows 7, will I be able to use MediaPortal and if so where is the link for the dowload for that particular version. Many thanks in anticipation of the help.

Not sure what HW is in your PC, but if it is not very old (guess not, since you're running Win7), it should meet the requirements for MP w/o any problem. See http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/GeneralRequirements

Win7 is fully supported. Regarding version, latest stable release is 1.0.2. Alternatively, you can give 1.1 beta a try - with or without latest snapshot (see DL page)

We will soon release the release candidate for Mediaportal 1.1, which is superior to 1.0.2 in terms of features and stability.

Is there W7 support in 1.0.2? I thought it was first implemented in 1.1.0 alpha. I know that it works, because I used to use it with W7, but I seem to remember that one had to trick the installer by running it in compability mode, but I might be wrong.
