Just a few quick questions, I use media portal with moving pictures plugin to watch movies running windows 7, at this stage i dont use it for tv.
I disabled windows media player, and now get the error
"Please install windows media player 11 ..."
I searched and all could find is that it is needed for media portal to run correctly, however i havnt noticed any difference with out it apart from the error message, i can re enable it if there is no other way but would prefer to finally be rid of it.
So my to questions are:
What exactly does media portal require WMP for? eg what features
And is it possible to make it think that's it installed even though its not? Eg some reg key or file somewhere, just to prevent the error from loading, or some othermeans to stop the error (or dialog box reminder would be a better name) (i realise the functions that need WMP wont work)
