The MediaPortal.log file is created automatically, and resides in the MediaPortal\log folder.

Post your completed Support Template and your MediaPortal.log file information (Please use http://mp.pastebin.com and then post the link in your forum thread)

Since you're now giving out christmas cards ;-)

A number of people have had a problem where the setup wizard sometimes crashes when scanning for TV. You can finish the wizard and then just us the configuration tool to set up the channels. Most people who had this have reported back that doing this solved their issues.

Just to be clear, I am talking about the GitHub access to the source code - using the Code button. I noticed that there is a link 'MediaPortal 1.36 Release' at the right-hand side of the page that takes me to page that has a link to the source code at the bottom of the page. That link seems to be virus free (according to Windows 10)...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Good. I am pleased that that is now working for you. :) If you have ever looked at MP debug log files, you may have noticed that apparent errors are not rare, but these are "errors" that do not affect the functioning of the product. (It is not desirable to have these errors in the log file, as it misleads users, testers, and...
