Hi Guys,

I am trying to set up MediaPortal. When I open up TV Server and click down to the TV Cards menu my dual digital card Winfast DTV 2000 DS shows up however when I try and scan for channels it does not find any. I have another tuner card which finds the channels perfectly.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I know that it is not the card itself as Win 7 MC is able to see all available channels on it and the native card software works too. Must be something specific to MediaPortal. Has anyone had/solved this problem before?

As it is related to tv server i would upload tv server logs only which can be found in "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log" just zip whole folder and upload it as an attachment.

i also have the same problem:-( with this card

i have also installed a USB DVB-T stick, and it scans channels fine on the same system. channel change is a little hit and miss however, but im guessing it may be due to being old outdated usb card.

another strange thing is the latest leadtek drivers show download compile date of 8/2010, but when you install them, they show same vers number, but date of 2009

would defo be interested in any developments

thanks in advance,
Damien

    Hi there folks

Thank you for posting your logs. Unfortunately everything looks "honky dory". No obvious errors or unusual entries. Just no channel detection whatsoever...

    I have 2 suspicions:
    1. Signal detection for this card (and other Leadtek cards) is not working correctly.
    2. The graph (the thing that MediaPortal uses to connect the tuner to the timeshifting files) is not constructed/initialised properly.

Suspicion 1 is relatively easy to check. For those of you that have MediaPortal 1.1.2, please follow these instructions:

    1. Stop TV Server.
    2. Take a backup of the TVLibrary.dll file in your TV Server install folder.
    3. Download and extract the TVLibrary.dll file attached to this post into your TV Server.
    4. Delete your TV Server logs.
    5. Restart TV Server.
    6. Try to scan for channels.
    7. Post logs whether scanning works or not.

I'm in a massive rush so I'll post instructions for the second suspicion later. Until then...

    Back again, sorry about that...

Okay, so to check the second suspicion please follow these instructions:
    1. Download GraphStudio from here.
    2. Run it (doesn't have to be installed).
    3. Click "graph"->"insert filter...".
    4. In the popup that opens, select "BDA receiver component" and "all filters".
    5. Take a screenshot to show the list.
    6. Double click on each entry in the list to insert the filters into the graph.
    7. Click "graph"->"make graph screenshot" to make a screenshot of the filters.
    8. Post the two screenshots here.

Hope to hear from some of you soon :)
