I have recently installed the Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP card into my working unit but cannot successfully scan for channels or have MP recognise any analog channels from this card.

Anyone got this card working and able to offer advice or suggestions?

I had the same card and I have seen others who have had a ton of problems with it too. My advice is to buy a used pvr-150 by Hauppauge. I got mine for $27 USd shipped and it worked flawlessly out of the box.

I spent a good 3-4 hours trying to get the winfast 2000 working, always worked fine in other apps, but not in media portal. I have read that the reason the winfast doesn't work is that it uses software decoding and support for that has been removed from media portal. On the plus side with a hardware card like the pvr-150 I can watch 720p video and have the recording going in the backgroup with no problems.

    Hi mmg1818

What milpool is not accurate. TV Server does support that card, and software encoding does also still work if you install compatible encoders. I'd be happy to help you if you want...

First, when you're looking to see whether the tuner is recognised you need to look in the tuner list in TV Server configuration.

You also may need to use the default drivers from Windows rather than the drivers from Leadtek.

    Okay.

Well, like I said already the first thing to check is whether it is recognised by TV Server. Did you check that?
