WinLIRC Configuration Problem (1 Viewer)

I have a Problem setting up a WinLirc Remote - i just can't get it to work; The Receiver seems to work, but MediaPortal doesn't do a thing...
I used the "Mediaportal-Setup" Program, which shows some information on WinLirc Configuration.

MediaPortal-Setup says the following:

::MediaPortal::
Set-up your external channels in this format...
  Remote1:Repeat:Code1[,Code2[,Code...]]|Remote2:Repeat:Code1[,Code2[,Code...]]
Examples...
  PACE4000:0:1,0,2,OK
  PACE4000:0:1,0,2,OK|AMP:2:PowerOn
  X10:8:dim_lounge|AMP:2:PowerOn|HIFI:0:mode_radio,3

My Big Question is: Just WHERE in MediaPortal do i have to "Set-up my external channels" ?
Can anybody help?

Same thing. I simply cannot make Mediaportal receive any Winlirc signal. Other programs like Autohotkey works well. Anybody?

Well i looked at that - actually that was the first thing. But that is not a guide or a detailed description, it is more like a page duplicating the MP settings window content.

That's about as far as my knowledge about WinLirc goes...

Plugin seems old but according to the page it was tested on 1.3 - 1.6 versions of MP, so i assume it should still work.

I had cause to look at that config about a year ago and never could work it out. Best as I could figure it seemed to need something external like this:
