WinTV NOVA HD S2 not recognised as capture card (1 Viewer)

Dear MediaPortal Forums...

First time building a HTPC and i'm having a bit of trouble getting media portal to recognise my HD S2 tuner! Unfortunatly for me most of the posts concerning this card are in german which i can't read so i'm sorry if this has been answered in another language already.

Question: Should media portal be able to work with this tuner? And if so is there a FAQ, tutorial, driver or plugin?

I'm a relatively experienced PC builder (but not with TV tuners!) so i don't need a complete solution (although that would be nice!) but any pointers where to look.
