Hi, I have just installed windows xp with SP3, I have installed MySQL (for TV) but MP wont install. I am trying ti=o install 1.0 RC4 the reason for that is Im installing on a CF card, and I dont have the room on there to install dotnet 3.5.

The problem is hslf way through the install I get error message: Download of settings failed, it tells me to review IE settings and try again.

the problem

ok i understand that you must make room for the new VER of mediaportal but the problem is that i can not run the main APP of 1.0.2 it just closes when i open it after trying to load the plugins now i do not i may not have all the updates as i have dialup Internet:( and all the updates would take 4 days to download and update but that not for here it for the support but is there any way some one can provide me with the old .xml file so i can install it at my own support while i wait for updates to complete.

Thank You:D

i tried to install the latest version (1.0.2) from the website and windows will not allow me. i am running vista 64 home prem sp 2 and it just tells me that it is not compatible with this version of windows in a pop-up window, with just an okay button to hit, and it will not install (it is not the warning-type pop-up that lets me install anyway).

i have just joined the forums and i am not very good at navigating here yet, so picked here to post. is this something that is known, and possibly in the works of remedying? i would very much like to have an alternative to VMCenter (well actually XBMC does work some, even tho it thinks i am running a 32 bit version, probably due to where it installed).

(since this appears to be a specific windows vista 64 sp 2 compatibility issue, i have not gone into system details).
