I can't believe it! I can finally use my beloved MediaPortal with Windows 7.

I have been using Windows 7 now for so long and crappy Microsoft MCE, I was really pissed off. I could sort of use MediaPortal, but the Microsoft MCE Remote would not fully work. Now it does with the new Alpha build and I am over the moon! Can't thank you enough guys. Top job!

I wish I could get mine working!!

I have Windows 7 RC 7100 x64 and mediaportal 1.1 alpha. It gives me errors when I try to install it, but it does install.

BUT if I go to watch TV in Mediaportal it always freezes and I have to crash out of it.

Did I install it wrong somehow? Its a totally fresh install

Not too sure mate. The only difference between me and you is that I am using a newer build of Windows 7, build 7264 x64. I am also not using MediaPortal for TV, so during the installation I said NO to the TV question.

I tried the other method, and for a start, it worked. Until I rebooted.

No matter, all working a treat now so who cares! lol.
