Re: WorldWeather plugin v0.2.5 for MediaPortal v1.2.0 or higher Dear community, @Bleazle: The current wind string comes from the weather provider directly. It is possible, but has a high error potential (extract value from string using the cultural settings, calculate, build new string, add new language properties...). Not yet, sorry. Maybe another planned provider has this option later. Google doesn't support forecast wind information, so no chance at the moment. You can test this using the URL http://www.google.com/ig/api?weather=Brisbane&hl=en. @Cruzer: Sure, but not with the next 2 major versions (0.3.0 and 0.4.0). But why do you want to use file:// and not a simple drive letter for this? @fischy667: I couldn't find any differences. To get the local weather provider page, the plugin checks the current mediaportal language settings from mediaportal.xml. Are there any different settings? Do you have tried the option "Forbid localized requests"? What's the result? @Marduk65: Hm, strange. I had check the settings for Rome and all is working without problems. Could you please send me your weather profile (you can find this in folder c:\programdata\team mediaportal\mediaportal\worldweather.xml)? Sorry, I don't understand your question/problem. Could you please specify this a bit better? Sorry, I couldn't reproduce this. What means "doesn't work"? Are these images not animated, not loaded? Which images do you use? @rsbrux: I'm not the main owner of tis skin files. Maybe catavolt can help here better. The current weather provider doesn't support this. Do you want to display the location code only? If yes, please fill the field inside the configuration dialog and add the appropriate property #WorldWeather.LocationCityCode to your skin. Otherwise try another plugin or wait for next features of this. You can use the button or context menu to easily switch between locations. Is thi not easy enough? To sort the locations, it is required to chance some core routines. A lot of users are waiting for a stable release. Because of this, I don't want to implement this now. The limit of 5 locations is not a problem, I must change only 1 line of code to give you 1000 and more. Maybe later, but not within the current development cycle. Currently I'm in discussion about options with other members. Interesting to know, but not planned yet. Maybe later, if I had reached the next milestone (Yahoo), we can discuss this again. Best regards, Micropolis
