My system has been working fine until recently but this week it has recorded the wrong channels.
All 3 schedules were on the same channel and the recordings are 2 times from the same wrong channel and 1 time from another wrong channel.

I'm using WebEPG and what puzzles me is that the guide is ok and the information of the recordings is from the originally scheduled program.

Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong?

    Thanks in advance!;)

Hi Taipan, I had a clue that MP keeps some kind of log files and until now I had not searched for it.
Just now, I saw that directory with a few log files but apparantly they are only from today since I have restarted a few times this afternoon - system locks when playing DVD - it seems that they are overwritten.

Are these the only logs regarding MP and am I correct that they are overwritten after a reboot? That way, I know next time not to restart before looking at those files and if necessary to copy them.

Yes, the log files are "renewed" each time that you re-start MediaPortal. The most useful log file is MediaPortal.log and a backup of the last log file (MediaPortal.bak) is made each time that you launch MediaPortal - so you should always have the most recent log file and it's previous one.

Best thing to do in this case is setup another test recording and see if MP chooses the wrong channel - if it does, then post that Mediaportal.log file as an attachment to this thread.
