WS2008 TV Server - No TV Servers in config. (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am wanting to set up my Windows Server 2008 as a TV server. We have recently installed freesat and have installed a Porf 7301 TV tuner. I have installed Media Portal TV Server on to the server, but when I load the configure TV Server program it doesn't display any TV servers. I am using the Beta 1.1 version of MediaPortal which might be coursing the problem, if it is or will help in any way I will reinstall the stable version. I have reinstalled (Completely Removed MP, SQL Server) to solve the problem but it had the same result. Does anyone run MediaPortal without problem on Windows Server 2008?

Got the log files for you. Looks like it can't see if the TVservice is running. (Which it is I checked). Any idea's?

perhaps this helps: go to your tv-server dir and look for the config files ... they should be named "TVServer.exe.config" for example

rename to TVServer.config

there are one or 2 other files this way (with .exe.) ... rename them too

Thanks for that, but still isn't showing up.
I renamed these:
SetupTv.config
TvService.config

There are also some others that have double file types, could they be the problem?
Example:
PowerScheduler.Interfaces.dll
TvLibrary.Utils.dll
Gentle.Provider.MySQL.dll

Well that's no good! Ha. Its not my day today. Got a PC BSODing without any indication of the course. (Other than installing Vista SP2)

Anyone else got any idea's? When I get a free moment I will reinstall with stable version just to see if that is any better.

Still looking for a anwser, this weekend I 'should' be able to install stable version, I might also install it on my test rig with server 2008 to see if that helps.

EDIT: just seen that the subject says WS2003, its 2008, sorry! I work with 2003 all day and use 2008 at home I get confused.
