I'm going to setup a HTPC with MediaPortal. The box is a Asrock ION 330.

So my question is witch OS should I use:

Windows XP x86
Windows XP x64
Windows Vista x86
Windows Vista x64
Windows 7 x86
Windows 7 x64

I going to use mediaportal 1.1.

Dedicated HTPC? I would say XP SP3 x86; supported, solid and light.

I love my Win7 install right now (it's 64bit too). It boots fast, wakes from sleep almost instantly, performs well, and as others have said there's big work in the newer SVN's being done on it. However I'm currently using the latest 1.1.0 beta (nonSVN) since I had some issues with the current SVN so I reverted back.

I definately would avoid Windows XP 64 and Vista in all flavours (since you can use W7 instead).

I run an ASUS ION-based board (AT3N7A-I)
with W7 x86 as "slave", TV-server in another box.
Works like a charm in 1080i.
