Codecs x264 probable codec issues? (1 Viewer)

I sometimes have problems watching some downloaded tv series... until now I have just "ignored" the issue but I feel it's time to try and figure out what is wrong. But before I can post a real problem I need to gather some more info about it, so this first post is only a description and a call for troubleshooting assistance, I will post logfiles and more info when I know more...

The problem: some TV series that I download in 720p (x264) stutters sometimes, sometimes they play without stutter but then lack audio... I never have any problem watching movies encoded with x264.
So... I remember seeing somewhere something about pressing ctrl+something to get video info about streams and things... I think that can help me figure out what codec being used and so on so that I can troubleshoot this strange stuff.

Changing from Microsoft to Cyberlink for H.264 fixed it.
