XBMC mediaportal can not connect (1 Viewer)

Firewall? Confirm the IP address that you are trying to connect to. If you have another machine on the network you can telnet to the port used in MP setup (Default 13000).
command:
telnet <your mp machines IP address here> 13000

if you cant telnet to the port from another mahcine, check the MP logs to make sure the plugin is starting up correctly and without errors.

Can not connect with telnet and the Mediaportal log shows this:

This is due to some changes in recent CVS, I will be releasing a re-compiled verison of the plugin when 0.2 Final is released, you will have to hang on till then for a fix or use an earlier CVS.

I'm having the same problem. Should 0.6c work with 0.2? Should it work with the stability patch? for any hints that you can give, I can't wait to try this out.
