XMLTV not auto up dating EPG (1 Viewer)

Hello Chaps,

I am a happy user of Mediaportal 2 & have been using media portal for over a year.

But for the life of me I cannot get the XMLTV to daily download the EPG at 7.00 pm. I get this error when I fire up the TV SERVER check my plugins to see if XMLTV has downloaded the latest TV guide.

tvguide.xml:invalid XML fileata at the root level is invalid. OH for heavens sake, the green laughing face is supposed just to be a colon!!

I have followed the marvelous Robo1000 instruction guide. But I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas please?

I need more information in order to assist. Please post screenshots of the first and third XMLTV plugin configuration tabs, and attach the XMLTV file itself.

Here are the 2 screen shots, how do I attach the XMLTV file it's self please, I am not sure what you mean by that? By the way I did a manual down load yesterday hence why there is no error code in the first tab picture. I have included a screenshot of powescheduler setup as well regarding EPG

By the way I did a manual down load yesterday hence why there is no error code in the first tab picture.

The point of asking for the XML file is that I would be able to see what is preventing it from being imported successfully. Since you said you manually downloaded yesterday, the above XML file is no good to me. Please upload again when you have one that won't import. Please also zip before uploading.

What is "this"?

...& am I getting the error code because I have changed it's name?

Are you referring to the name of the downloaded file ("channels.dat"), or...???

Sorry badly phrased. The file I sent which is the XMLTV file, & yes next time I will zip it up, I think I changed its name to tvguide. I think I did this during my very first install of MP 1.6 or so. So my question was has changing the file name resulted in the error code

"tvguide.xml:invalid XML file.Data at the root level is invalid"

There is actually a colon between file & data, but as you saw earlier it seemed to insert a silly green face

However last night at 19.00 hrs it updated fine. So I will upload the XMLTV file if it happens again,
