As other users has expienced then the Original YAC plugin has some bugs, and it seem its not maintained anymore
It also could use some requestet features like pause media.

Dabbith startet to make "YAC Caller ID Enhancements" but his patch never came into the Mediaportal:

I submitted the patches nearly a year ago. They're still sitting on the patch queue, #1784852 and #1784840. I guess nobody could be bothered to review them and commit them. It's too bad because it really killed my interest in working on enhancements for MediaPortal.

So his fine work stoped.....





BUT I found some source code in the MP trunk and sended it to my frind.
Then he made YAC Externalplugin and it has correctet some of the errors + enhacements like pause media.

This is a cutandpaste work based on YAC with funtions from ISDN thats embedded in the ProcessPlugins dll.

Highlights different compared to the standard YAC
- Made it as external plugin
- Only one message on a call
- Possible to pause and unpause on a call (setup in GUI)
- Possible to auto unpause after a time (setup in GUI)
- A GUI (from ISDN)


Make sure to disable the YAC in the ProcessPlugins, when testing this version..

I don´t have any htpc and never used mediaportal i made this as a request by a friend,
so use it at you own risk and play nice.

I dont know how to make a patch, but source to the plugin is now postet to the forum Submit patches (MediaPortal/TV-Server/etc.)

I really dont understand why this great plugin isnt included already
I fully support that the patch providers has submitted should be the official one.

Name, I think this depends of what kind of service you have. I use a device called NIM, that works in Sweden. So thats not much help for you i´m afraid. Hopefully someone else can help you with this

Picture, absolutely. locate your thumbs folder in application data. There you have folder called yac. If you put at jpg there with 1234567.jpg then when 1234567 calls you that picture shows. Hope that makes sense
