I've combed through the forums and hit up a few manufacturers' websites but still haven't come to a clear answer. I know what I want. My receiver died on me which galvanized me to let MediaPortal handle everything from DVDs to movies, etc. However, I want to stay on MP mode permanently and stop using the TV to change channels. (pausing live tv is cool too!) I currently watch HDTV over-the-air using the built in ATSC tuner in my television, so I need a tuner that can do that, which I'm pretty sure is called DVB-T. I would like two tuners so that I can record while watching another channel. I won't be getting satellite, but I'm hoping that cable will become available within a year or so. So, is there a magical tuner card that can receive DVB-T and DVB-C in the U.S.? Is my best option to just buy the DVB-T and wait for the cable rollout to happen and do an upgrade then? Lastly, do any of these cards support video in via component, and can these magical devices to live-tv-pausing (in case I ever need to run a cable box through the video input). Thank you for helping with yet-another-tuner-card-thread. BakerQ
