I am using MediaPortal 1.30 and Moving Pictures. In fact, I have been using them for so long that my movie list is now... a mess.
What I would like to do is wipe ALL movies from the database but keep the configuration details, and re-import all the movies from scratch. I could just delete the...
Fixed it finally: click on (or hover over, depending on you Winsows setup) the Configuration tab in the toold bar. This will bring up a small version of the screen just above the toolbar for you to clock on. DO NOT. Instead, right-clock on it and select the "full window" (or "expand") option...
OK, so I took a deep dive in the logs myself (gotta start to learn sometime) and noticed an error about Gentle.config
Opened the file and it was full of NULLs. Not good for an XML file.
I found an old thread (gentle.config) which had some 11-years-old XML. On the off-chance that this could fix...
It never rains but it pours.
All of a sudden MP1 refuses to connect to the TV service (which is on the same PC) and comes up with "unable to connect to the TV-Server" "unable to connect to database" "all ip ports seem to be fine" messages on the screen.
Here's the thing:
I use a HDHomeRun...
<ears perk up> tMM? I was looking for something to create .nfo files for all my movies/tv series... what's tMM? "Tiny Media Manager"? I tried looking for a link to it on the forum but no luck so far.
<edit> Never mind, found it at tinyMediaManager (I hope it;s the right one).
Sorry for the late reply
Nope, but I haven't given up... just moved it asside for the moment. I like MP1 but suppor for it is flagging, MP2 is a contender but compared to the flexibility of MP1 (especially in terms of video file naming) it seems to be much more rigid (I may have read the...
I may not have this in the right forum, if so let me know and I will move it.
I use MP1 mostly for watching the METRIC TONNE of TV series and movies I have on my fileservers (yes, plural) after years of buying and ripping DVDs/BDs. I also have another MT of anime but there doesn't seem to be a...
I have been a relatively happy user of MP1 for quite a while. My setup is a dedicated HTPC connected to my TV, a TV capture device (HDHomeRun) on the network, and a number of NAS holding my movies, TV series and audio files. And it all works fine... except it's starting to show some problems...
I am, of course, a complete a*hole for not realising my previous thanks did not take and waiting this long to come back to the Forum.

I am profoundly thankful for the help you gave me with my problem.
I have looked but I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.
I have been collecting TV files for a long time and have got them split across 3 fileservers. My import paths are:
\\NAS-001\Animation
\\NAS-002\Japanese
\\NAS-003\TV_Series
All fileservers follow the same naming pattern...
So the GT 1030 is ~AU$120 and the GTX 1650 ~AU$260 (based on my local store). Which, surprisingly for Australia, is just about bang-on the conversion rate. :) Cheers.
