I cannot find any documentation about this button. What does it do?
I am actually scared of this button. I have few 10's of recordings, some of them may have partly watched, and I am afraid this button will delete them. So I just warn all the family not to press it ...

The information about cleanup is not easily seen, but it is there.

Just below the screen grab under Menu Options.

Yes. DO NOT press the button unless you want ALL your recordings deleted at once.

I would also like to see an option like "Delete All Files In Selected Folder", or be able to quickly "mark" a group of files and press the DELETE key to remove them, and answer only one dialog for the marked list.

Thanks. I am glad I asked :) It will not ask anything? Just delete instantly??
Is there a way to hide (this) button?

I wonder if it doesn't delete the recordings and the wiki is wrong. I would of expected it just to clean the database of recordings deleted from outside the GUI/ corrupted database entries.

I think you might have watched too many recorded episodes of Lost. I urge you to press that button.

I think it used to have an options dialog.... a long time ago.

Maybe you shouldn't worry too much, first you get this warning - DeleteRec1

Next you get this warning - DeleteRec2
You will only be asked Option4 if you are in a subfolder, I guess.
