I've tried running it as local. Tried deleting the config files and running again. Tried as another user.

Any ideas?

Try starting it in portable mode.
You can do that, by adding /portable to the command line OR edit Config.xml found in the program folder and change portable from 0 to 1.

Have tried all sorts to get the program running. At best I get some sort of error message underneath the darn pesky startup screen which I consequently can't get at (why oh why do people still using them? I know what program I'm running and don't need to be reminded!) saying something about a .net framework error. I'm running off a comparatively new bootcamp XP install on the Mac with all Microsoft updates done. MPTagthat is my fave tagging program and now it's refusing to run and I miss it terribly!

It might have been SP3 or the latest K-lite codec pack. Not sure.

i got that hanging stuff sometimes myself, but was not able to find the root cause of it.
i've seen it during development and then suddenly it is gone.

what some people reported is, that it continued to work, once they edited the config.xml and changed the portable switch to 1.

Nope, tried both those ideas to no avail. Am strongly considering wiping my computer and starting again just to get to use the program back! If anyone has any solutions do shout!

I have wiped my computer, specifically to get MPTagThat to work, using a different version of Windows XP I had lying around just to be sure. It worked for a couple of days and now we are back in the same situation. When it is loading, it stops. Sometimes it just sits there. Other times the blasted start screen covers a pop-up which says something out .net framework. This is singularly the best tagging software out there, and I have pushed hard to be taken up by people on other forums, now it is completely useless! I've tried all the suggestions I can find and still cannot get it working! Anyone????? Please?????

I have wiped my computer, specifically to get MPTagThat to work, using a different version of Windows XP I had lying around just to be sure.
