Background: Hauppage 2250 works ALL the time - both ATSC and NTSC. However, if the hauppauge is ENABLED in Device Manager, the HDHR fails - does not tune channels. It speeds fast through the scan not finding ANY channels. If the hauppauge 2250 is DISABLED then the HDHR works like a charm with NO issues.

Does anyone have ANY thoughts how to get the two to work together? I need the 2250 for NTSC cable recording...

please oh mighty mepo guru's :)

    Hi,

Long time MediaPortal users, first post!

I am having a problem with these two tuners as well. As in previous post, the HDHR software finds the tuners,
and I can set them to mediaportal/digital antenna and scan all the channels(actually HDHR picks up more signals
than my old STB ATSC tuner or my TV's tuner).

In the TVServer setup I see the 4 tuners from the Hauppauge 2250 (and I have combined them into 2 hybrid
cards as per the faq), and the 2 HDHR tuners. The 2250's pick up all my analog cable no problem, and find all
the MusicChoice chans. As with the previous poster, when I scan the HDHR it runs through the scan in a manner
of a few seconds(1-2s) and finds no channels on the HDHR. But if I pop open the HDHR software I can click the
'view' button from the channel listing tab and watch any of the channels.

If I have only the HDHR , MP has no problems. But when the 2250 and the HDHR are both in/on, I run
    into this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

The only thing I can suggest is try the latest svn, run mediaportal.exe first, then TVServer\TVclient plugin 2nd (it will uninstall TVServer, keep selected the default uninstall setting), see if the cards work now.

    Regards

Well, I guess procrastinating works out from time to time. I was going to try what you suggested, but ended
up getting busy and not having time. This evening I had some time so I checked out the mediaportal page
and noticed 1.0.1 was released, and figured why not try that first. After a quick and painless upgrade (whoot!
big thanks for this feature) and my hdhr and 2250 are playing nicely together!!

Now if I can only get the programming guide working! (well thats next on the list)
