Hello All,

The television wizard detects that I have the WinTV USB2 installed and everything, but it does not detect the channels. I click autotune and no channels come up after it has tuned. Also, when I go to detect cards in the actual settings menu, it says no cards detected. Any suggestions?

EDIT*: Also when I go to MyTV, i cannot see anything in the tv area...even when i click start tv, nothing happens.

I have the same card and tv is working for me.
Try to copy a cvs version over rc2.
I think there were some tuning problems with the plain rc2, which did not affect my setup, since I had set up my channels a long time ago.

Disconnect and reconnect the usb2. This helps sometimes on my system.
set the propper country and cable setting.

and mp should stop the autotuning when a channel is found, then you have to press the "map" button or something to store the channel.

if you try the cvs version. make a backup of the whole mp directory before. Especially because the template shows you are using vmr7, and support for vmr7 was removed between rc2 and current cvs. If your card can handle vmr9, better use this.

The above is a problem to start with.
You should never use a Muxer as a Decoder.

Also if you have the non PVR version of the WinTV like this...
    http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_usb2.html
    Then it's not supported.

Our supported TV device list is here...
    https://www.team-mediaportal.com/dokuw/install/capturecards/start

The generic software card support has been dropped in return for a more structured approach using the devices own software encoders if we can use them. This allows users to Timeshirft and Record in the same engine as other cards and hence easier for us to manage.

If you wanna try this then I suggest you read here...

Note: I'll need a copy of the bundled SoftPVR application to look into it.
