How install DirectX 9.0c on Windows 10? (1 Viewer)

As MediaPortal 2.0 works perfect with Windows 10 I downloaded 2.0 however already failed when trying to install DirectX 9.0c on Windows 10. Any idea how I cann istall DirectX and the other required software on Windows 10?

I had a fiddle with this the other day on a test machine.

You just need the DirextX Runtime Components installed:

@Adam: Thanks, however this didn't work. Runtime installation is fine but when installting MP2 it stops due to missing DirectX 9.0c.

Do those files exists? On 64bit OS:

• C:\Windows\SysWOW64\D3DX9_41.dll
  
• C:\Windows\SysWOW64\D3DX9_43.dll

Or on 32bit os:

• C:\Windows\System32\D3DX9_41.dll
• C:\Windows\System32\D3DX9_43.dll

Your feedback is appreciated, as I currently work on installer to improve the installation process

@morpheus: using 32bit Windows 10, the two mentioned dll-files are not there.

I have running MPII on a Desktop and a Tablet with Windows 10 (but 64Bit) without Problem!
First you have to extract the DX9 Package and then you have to start the DXSETUP.exe (from the Place where you did extract it to) as Administrator.

Please describe your PC hardware and software in full. Be sure to mention what GPU (video card) you have, and which drivers you have installed for it.
