Hi, I have troubles importing my recordings into tvserver 1.2.3. I used Argus (For The Record) to schedule them and I now have made identical xml files for them. Those xml's must be right.

This is what I find in the error log:
2012-12-17 03:04:09.226562 [SetupTv(1)]: Exception in Recording.Persist() with Message The property named title of class TvDatabase.Recording was null (not allowed here).

And this is how the import screen looks:
tvserver recording import.PNG

Anyone knows how I can import all these recordings? Thanks! :D

    Hello Dragy

From the screenshot it looks like the titles are missing... and that is confirmed by the error message.
    Recordings must have a title.
Please could you provide a sample xml file.

They absolutely have a title. The batchprocessor for argusTV made the xml files, but they lacked a little bit information, so for one recording I added that. Still didnt show up right.

The ancient aliens xml is how the batchprocessor made it and the congo xml is how I added the information.

Kick! No one knows what's wrong? The logs don't give anything besides that error in the TS when I try to assign a channel to an entry.

I need a little more time. I have to get home to check my recordings and compare the XML files. Right now I"m at work....

Okay thank you. I made sure they are exactly the same as how TV Server creates them, also the encoding.
Can I get more information in the logs? Setting <Logging>
<!-- This setting controls the lowest log level emitted. See the
Verbosity enum for details on the available values. -->
    <Verbosity>Warning</Verbosity>
To Debug didn't do anything (I restarted the TVServer service)

    Now I'm going to sleep.

I found what's wrong! It's a very small difference: instead of <tags> it was <Tags>..

This is a comparison of the oldest compatable xml I have and yours posted above

    comparison.JPG

EDIT. see you found the problem, I took to long to post this for delays.

    The latest spec xml is

    latest spec with times.JPG

The imprtant addition is the times which quarantees you get the correct duration of film in db, old style relies on your file attributes being correct and unchaged by the OS (if you copy/move the file/folder)
