No video after fast-forwarding (1 Viewer)

My MediaPortal has recently developed a problem whereby if you fast forward, when you then press play, it won't play video - the video is frozen but audio playback resumes as expected. I then have to press Stop, and restart the playback from the point I had fast-forwarded to - playback of both audio and video resumes correctly then.

I have attached logs - I opened MP, started playback of a TV file and then fast-forwarded, pressed play and it played audio but not video. I then stopped it and restarted it and audio and video worked, I then quit MP. Codecs are all set to LAV Filter.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this are much appreciated!

    Check your TV codec settings carefully - it's not using LAV for TV, the codecs (from evr.log) it is actually using are:

    [2015-02-08 16:55:51,348] [1d1f2e38] [ 7c8] - Filter: Enhanced Video Renderer
    [2015-02-08 16:55:51,348] [1d1f2e38] [ 7c8] - Filter: Default DirectSound Device
    [2015-02-08 16:55:51,348] [1d1f2e38] [ 7c8] - Filter: MPEG Audio Decoder
    [2015-02-08 16:55:51,348] [1d1f2e38] [ 7c8] - Filter: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder
    [2015-02-08 16:55:51,348] [1d1f2e38] [ 7c8] - Filter: TsReader

    MP has *tried* to use LAV, but they have been rejected (from TsReader.log):

    [2015-02-08 16:55:50,927] [15efa580] [ 7c8] - audPin:CompleteConnect() ok, filter: LAV Audio Decoder
    [2015-02-08 16:55:50,929] [15efa580] [ 7c8] - audPin:CompleteConnect() ok, filter: Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder
    [2015-02-08 16:55:50,929] [15efa580] [ 7c8] - audPin:CompleteConnect() ok, filter: MPEG Audio Decoder

    [2015-02-08 16:55:50,964] [15efa580] [ 7c8] - vidPin:CompleteConnect() ok, filter: LAV Video Decoder
    [2015-02-08 16:55:51,003] [15efa580] [ 7c8] - vidPin:CompleteConnect() ok, filter: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder

    Thanks Owlsroost, must confess I'm not well versed on how the codecs should be setup or configured, I just did a default install and left it at that. I have attached a few screenshots of what I think are the relevant screens that allow codec configuration. Are there screens I'm missing and are there any changes I should make? Hardware acceleration is set to None, given that I have a good graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 5670), should I select one of the available options to enable this?

    Thanks for that, I did the quick guide and it solved the problem, I think playback also seems smoother now in general given hardware acceleration is now turned on.

    Mmmm, seems that things aren't quite as sorted as I'd hoped. For some reason the picture now comes in from the edge of the TV screen an inch or so, but once I move into live TV, it goes to the edge of the screen, but seems for desktop and Media Portal menu, and playing video files, it goes back to the smaller picture.

    And I've had some videos give codec issues they wouldn't have done before. And starting live TV, recorded TV and video files seems slower, freezing at times and I'm seeing lip sync issues here and there. Any thoughts on how to resolve? Should I post some more logs after trying to replicate the issues?
