Hi,
Please forgive me as I am brand new to all this and am knocking on in years (actually a pensioner) so what I am doing or not! may seem silly.

I downloaded and installed MediaPortel today and everything is ok apart from this problem.
If I pause whilst watching a recorded tv program and then restart the viewing the playback starts fine apart from the fact that the sound has gone. To get the sound back I then have to start viewing the recording from the beginning again.

This also happens sometimes when I have paused live tv and then forward say through the adverts. The sound again sometimes disappeared.

My system information is as follows:

OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium
Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002

Has anyone any suggestions please??

    Hello and welcome! =)

Which audio decoder do you use? (MP Config -> Codecs and Renderer -> Tab TV Codecs (these are the codecs which are used for LiveTV & Recordings)

Maybe try a different one and check if the problem is still there.
    Thanks!
