Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) Just to clarify - has this version of SAF been created for the sake of codec "minimalism" or are there other benefits?
Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) Both. Biggest benefit is DXVA+subtitles in all DirectShow based players.
Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) I see, so for a MP user the benefit is mostly tidiness then Nothing wrong with that, I will soon try it.
AW: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) sorry to ask but just for clarification: does FFDshow support DXVA? I thought that FFDShow isn't capable of GPU hardware acceleration and the only free decoder available is MPC-HC. Cheers, Greg
Re: AW: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) ...times are changing
Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) I'm having the same thing. Criminal Minds 720p episode worked fine, but Black Dynamite 720p (both x264) was blocky and slowing down. Unwatchable. Switched back to MPC and it worked fine.
Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) Zinu ...it is experimental. Today build working really great for me under GB-PVR.
Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) I know, but just to let you know Maybe if a lot of people mention it you can mention it to ffdshow devs. Or anything
Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) Everything I have read about FFDShow dxva points to incorporation of MPC code, so there should not really be much of a difference. Saying above, I have tried FFDShow dxva as main codec, but it still has a bit video wise to catchup with CoreAVC, lets hope it's sooner than later, I'm sure the guys will be working on this, pretty sure hoborg will keep everyone updated Just another bit of news, Divx, with it's built in mkv support also works pretty well, just it is dropping support for Win7 , although the M$ codecs supplied are good, they do not seem to support all older formats, especially dx50 variants (FFDShow always worked). Personally always thought between Haali\gabeest spliters and FFDShow, everything should work, so again to hoborg, keep up the good package you are doing. Regards
