Tutorial for ASIO Music Player Plugin? Problem with 5.1 analogue audio output (1 Viewer)

There is a tutorial to configure this plugin?
How must be configured the output device sections? (the screen is get from my office PC, not from my HTPC).

S/O: XP sp3
Sound card: Club 3D Theatron Agrippa DTS 7.1

What kind of music are you playing: stereo? WAV-encapsulated AC3 or DTS? Discrete multi-channel?
How many speakers do you have and how are they connected (analog, SPDIF)?
Could you provide a screenshot from your HTPC?

If you select "8" as the last channel, you can play music with up to 7.1 discrete channels, and/or use PureAudio/BASS internal upmixing routines for 2.0 music. AFAIK these are the only uses for that setting, otherwise select "2".

All my music library are "stereo": mp3, CD, ecc...
Connection from HTPC to A/V ampli is made with 5.1 Analogue cables.
S/O XP sp3 - Mediaportal 1.1 b1

I have this problem: all stereo files (or CDA track) are reproduced like 5.1.
I'd like to listen stereo music in stereo mode (not in multichannel).
Is possible to baypass windows xp mixer with ASIO Music player Plugin? (I think my problem is due to the windows mixer).

Do you mean the HTPC itself is upmixing the stereo to 5.1 and you hear sound from all your speakers?
That's weird because in theory selecting "2" as the last channel should get rid of that.
Do you have that also when using another player (Windows Media Player for example)?

ASIO playback is indeed bypassing the Windows mixer, but you don't know what the sound card driver does with the sound then (on my system for example ASIO playback through ASIO4ALL doesn't bypass the master volume control). I see in your screenshot that your sound card has DSP options, maybe the sound card driver itself is upmixing to 5.1 ?

yes, is the same with WMP, Foobar, ecc...

I see in your screenshot that your sound card has DSP options, maybe the sound card driver itself is upmixing to 5.1 ?

i don't know, but all DSP options are disabled

And when you try foobar2k with the "ASIO" and "Kernel Streaming" output plugins (downloadable on the website), does it also do that? (especialy with KS)

Can you post screenshots of the mixer tab of your soundcard control panel. This mentions DTS-Neo which will convert stereo to multi-channel audio; is there an option to enable / disable this in there?

Also can you post the upmixing tab of PureAudio and play settings tab in MP music config

I allready try with foobar2000 + KS, without result.
