Please post a log file with verbose debug. It could also be related to the simplified MP configuration in the last version. Does version 1.2.2.2 work or produce the same error?
You can get it from the plugin page in the archived files.

Log for 1.2.2.3 on client connected through LAN.

I will try 1.2.2.2 tomorrow as I've got recordings running.

Just tried 1.2.2.1 and manually set server tvwishlist folder location and there is no version mismatch error.

If I run a EPG search from the LAN client it will crash MP due to not having write access directly to that folder. It only has read access and it seems that under Win7 I can not give write access to a single folder unless the complete C: drive is allowed write access and of course this is very bad for security.

OK so next step was to share the folder so as to be mapped as \\SERVER\TvWishList with write access permission and this works. I can run the EPG search and it completes and I can view the results. If I run a second search it gets stuck "Previous search is still running - please wait" and never completes (log attached for this).

    Pog & Others,
i guess i found from your log files the problem with the LAN version mismatch. I believe you do not have the version file
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TvWishList\version.txt on your tv server. Please check if this file is on your tvserver. If not, open the tvserver configuration and stop the tvserver manually or reboot your system. Then it should generate the file version.txt on the Tv server automatically.
I am working on a more stable solution for the next version. This can happen after a fresh install also for a client/server installation on the same computer.

Pog, on your last post you had left over files from your first run. Please restart or reboot your tv server and tvwishlist should clean up the files
You need to have write access from your client computer only for C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TvWishList
So there should be no reason to grant access to the full c drive.

For each of the versions I tried there was version.txt with the correct version number in the TvWishList folder. Running MP on the server pc works fine also for each version.

I have granted full access to this folder but I can only read the files on the network. I could only get write access by setting up a network share. Even on the server pc using explorer and opening the folder via Network and not Computer will not let me write/delete files as admin. Anyone else on Win7 able to get network non-shared write access working?

    foxbenw,
i did look at your log file (all selected) and realized that the description did change. So it was ok for Tvwishlist to reschedule again.
    Your existing recording did contain:
Description=New US sitcom. Experienced waitress Max Black meets a new colleague, former rich girl Caroline Channing, while working in a Brooklyn restaurant. Despite her initial reservations about Caroline, Max eventually softens and the two women strike up an unlikely friendship. Although they can barely afford their rent, they soon begin to plan an exciting business venture together. All they need to do to open their successful cupcake company is find $250,000 in start-up expenses.
Your latest schedule did contain a different description:
Description=In the series one premiere of the US sitcom, experienced waitress Max Black meets a new colleague, former rich girl Caroline Channing, while working in a Brooklyn restaurant. Despite her initial reservations about Caroline, Max eventually softens and the two women strike up an unlikely friendship. Although they can barely afford their rent, they soon begin to plan an exciting business venture together. All they need to do to open their successful cupcake company is find $250,000 in start-up exp

As your setting for episodecriteria was set to description only
    mywish.episodecriteria=Descr.
this episode did get scheduled again. if you would have chosen for episodecriteria Description + name +number it would not have been rescheduled.

So far i think the algorithm behaves as planned.

    Pog,
I will try to replace the file communication by named pipes or sockets. If this works out you will nor more need write access to the server.

    Hi
    OK, sorry, bad example.
Log attached. Look for an episode name called 'Swarley'.
I am getting many repeated schedules where they start with no epg data so are scheduled (which is good, i like that!)
But then, when the data appears, it is not removing them correctly.
Sorry if this is another wrong/stupid example for some reason...
    Ben

    Hi foxbenw,
this smells like a bug. 'Swarley' is being scheduled although there exists a recording. Unfortunately the important trace would have been in the log file from 5/11.
There should not have been another scheduling after 5/9, when the recording was done.
I have prepared a test version for you which will collect log files after each epg run with a time stamp. Can you let this run for about a week and then look if you can find another 'Swarley' example. I hope to get then a trace back from the actual repeated scheduling.

Update: I uploaded (hopefully) the correct file
