Hi,

i try to use a Twinhan DVB-S 1034 as a second card in my Single Seat HTPC.

I allways get problems like "No Audio/Video found", if i use the Twinhan.

So i start scanning again with the Twinhan only on LNB 1 - i select Level A/A to scan Astra 19,2.

When scanning is done, the Twinhan found Programmes of Level A/A Astra 19,2 AND Level A/B Hotbird 13,0 ??????? (see logfiles)

regard,

After a look at the TV Log i found:

18.03.2007 17:46:53 Twinhan: SetLnb diseqc port:1 22khz:1 low:9750 hi:10600 switch:11700 power:True
18.03.2007 17:46:53 TwinHan SetLNB ok 0x0
18.03.2007 17:46:53 TwinHan DiSEqC cmd:4 0 0 0 E0 10 38 F0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 succeeded

LNB1 Astra 19,2 Scan o.k.

18.03.2007 17:47:03 Twinhan: SetLnb diseqc port:1 22khz:2 low:9750 hi:10600 switch:11700 power:True
18.03.2007 17:47:03 TwinHan SetLNB ok 0x0
18.03.2007 17:47:03 TwinHan DiSEqC cmd:4 0 0 0 E0 10 38 F1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 succeeded

Start scanning on LNB2 Hotbird 13,0

18.03.2007 17:47:17 Twinhan: SetLnb diseqc port:1 22khz:2 low:9750 hi:10600 switch:11700 power:True
18.03.2007 17:47:17 TwinHan SetLNB ok 0x0
18.03.2007 17:47:17 TwinHan DiSEqC cmd:4 0 0 0 E0 10 38 F3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 succeeded

Only Multiswitch 5/4 used, so Port3 command (i think is F3) ignored. Continue scanning on Port2.

So, why chance diseqC Command from "4 0 0 0 E0 10 38 F0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0" to "4 0 0 0 E0 10 38 F1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0" and "4 0 0 0 E0 10 38 F3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0" ?

Hi,

make another test with my old TT DVB-S 1500 Budget CI.

Same result like the Twinhan. Scanning only LNB1 - found programms from LNB1 and LNB2.

Logfile shows like the Twinhan one. Chance the DiseqC Command.

Any Ideas !?!

I've twinhan 1020A DVB-S, LNB1 works OK, but LNB2 doesn't work, it stays in LNB1 and scans al the TP's on LNB1 (not 2).

I don't know about your particular twinhan 1034 dvb-s card but it is likely that it suffers from the same problems as my twinhan 102g. Many of the dvb-s cards are built improperly and send noisy diseqc commands. You can either buy a dvb-s card that is built properly (only a few are) or buy a spaun diseqc switch. This seems to be the only diseqc switch that can handle the low quality signal.

Some people have success in mod'ing their diseqc switches. See http://board.mytheatre.ru/viewtopic.php?t=4514&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=75&sid=d959b8fa88cdd57f77a3e642e6429bff

Hi W_Z,

thank you for your answer.

But, for me the problem is that the TV Engine chance the diseqC command while scanning - see TV Logfile. (I test with spaun switch too).

The problem exists only on TV2 (not in TV Engine 3). The only problem I have is the very slow channel change, and also when changing channels on different LNB's almost everytime is wait for ~20s and then nothing happens, only after I change to the next channel on the same LNB the picture appears again.

W_S can you recomend a good DVB-S card?

Fixed :)

Ok, finaly I managed to fix the diseqc problem on twinhan cards on TV2 (the one that cames with mediaportal alone).
I copy/paste some code from TVServer3 related to sending diseqc commands on twinhan, changed a little bit here and there and boila!!! Now its working.

How can I post the code fixes?
