Discussion in 'Codecs, External Players' started by toutoune290, September 29, 2011.

  1. hi all,
is there a solution for increase volume in videos ?
there is a large difference between MP3 and Divx and MKV audio.
is there a log for that or a plugin or can we resolve that in LAV audio or nothing else ?
    thanks for answers.

You mean adapt the volume to be equal independendly of the source (e.g. mp3, DiVX etc.) because you can just use the volume+/- on remote?

when using optical out (or HDMI) your amplifier/TV controls the volume ... its no longer under the control of MediaPortal

I have the same problem, I want to set the gain separately, for example, if I play the video with mp3 track no gain needed, but if I play the video with ac3 or DTS track the codec will auto check it and set the gain +3db in automatic mode.
if i set the gain in ffdshow, this gain is for all type of track and the mp3 will be too high.
