12.1 still gives me pixelation issues on Channel 4 HD (on Freesat). BBC1 HD, BBC HD and ITV1 HD still OK.

Mew

Is this with DXVA codecs only?

I also had some channels that gaved me corruption/stuttering (only when zapping or skipping),
I tried PDVD, microsoft, ffdshow DXVA,MPC,... and no one that worked 100%.

But, Lav 0.45 seems to play these channels fine with DXVA (copy back):)

AW: WARNING: pixelation/corruption on h264 channels.

    Hello!
After opening CCC I always see these entries in Windows ACEEventLog marked as information. No crashing or anything.. just those strange entries. Changes in CCC were also saved. Anyone else see this?

AW: WARNING: pixelation/corruption on h264 channels.

    12.1 sucks here.
It sometimes produces invalid colors on MPEG2 (white and flesch tone sometimes tend to have pink areas).
    All postprocessing is switched off.
Back on older version now and everything is ok again.

    Cheers.

I was using the Microsoft DVT-DVD Video Decoder because I think my HD5450 strugged with deinterlacing 1080i with PDVD11. I have briefly tried Lav 0.45 (as part of SAF 6.06 with DVXA (copy back)) and it looks OK, so unless I get issues I will stick with that.

    :D

What i love at ATI is that these cards resist in time very good compare to Nvidia, but:

catalyst 12.1- same problem on live-tv HD or SD in Romania, UE : HBO HD, Eurosport HD, Discovery HD, Mezzo HD, Cinemax SD, Hbo Comedy SD, etc
Artifacts, slow image, squares on image, in mce, dvbviewer, progdvb, mediaplayer, etc.

Back to 11.4, but these one does not seem to like my 6950, in device manager it sees my card as: ati 6x00 series?!

I will buy an gtx560ti even if its slower then hd6950.

Also, with 11.4, with my crappy ASUS HD6950, my vent work all the time in 100%, at 100% rotation my vent is just like an full-jet.
Maybe i will try an MSI bios to fixed this problem.

Seems I spoke too soon about 12.1, BBC HD still gives me problems although they're not as severe. Occasionally a frame seems to get 'stuck' and subsequent frames are rendered kind of half over it.

    Back to 11.4 again :(

I upgraded (?) to 12.1 and was no longer able to eliminate overscan using CCC. I had to use the registry hack described here to get a full screen display from my HTPC.
