Hey guys I'm new to the forum's and love mediaportal. I have an issue with getting the weather plugin to work. It says that it can not find a location for my wan ip. I live in perth Australia and would like to get this working. I had it working on an old computer but upgraded and have re installed mediaportal

The inbuild Weather function doesn't work any more (Weather.com doesn't provide free info anymore). You need a plugin for that now.

Check out the install instructions and fill the fields manually. You can find the install instructions in the documentation folder in the release.

FYI my inbuild weather function all of a sudden started working again this week. I'm happy!
If it's the WorldWeather plugin you're having trouble with, you might have better luck posting in the thread for that plugin, and also give more details about what exactly is going wrong for you. But if your problem is with getting the city code for your location, go to www.weather.com and search for your city there, then when the result comes up, the code you want is the last 8 characters of the url in the addres bar. E.g. if you search for "perth, australia", you get "http://www.weather.com/weather/right-now/Perth+Australia+ASXX0089", so the code is ASXX0089.

I've installed worldweather but it only shows N/A. Do I need to disable the weather plugin?
