AW: What hd tuner card????? help!!!

Hi
I'm not using the Mystiqe myself right now, as I don't have Sat at the Moment (only DVB-T and Cable Analouge). But as I will move to a new home soon, I'm in the need to get as much information about all Sat related stuff I can get. The Mystique seems to be a good working dual tuner DVB-S2 card, not much out there...

In the German part of the forum some people use this card and most of them are happy with. And the Mystique is afaik the only dual tuner card witch is usable on "Unicable-" systems too. Drivers are available for all Windows OSes MePo can run on officially (XP 32, Vista 32/64, Seven 32/64) and also for Win Server 2k3, 2k8 and WHS (with DVBfix installed).

The channel switching times are normally below 1 sec, only if you change between HD and SD there can be a delay of 1 to 2 secs. The installation seems to be easy (build in card, start Windows, install drivers, open TV Server Configuration and the card is there...) Standby/Resume seems to be all OK too. The good thing is, the developer of this card is interested in MediaPortal as he uses MePo at home ;)

I will buy this card as soon as I move to the new place. Maybe two of them ;)

How would you know that? ;)

The Mystique cards seem to be a good alternative, if they were to offer a dual receiver with ci interface I would buy one for sure.

Slightly OT: they should really redesign their website (and host a forum) :p

wow that looks like a very complete card. any idea of its price when its out??

The previous Blackgold 6-in-1 card which I have now was about £100, so I would suspect
this new one will be somewhere around the £150 mark, at a rough guess.

Hopefully they will get it 100% right before they release it: the old one had quite a few issues.
And if the spec remains the same as that page, it will be out of date very quickly. DVB-T2 will be needed on high end cards like that in the UK soon.

So is there anyone else who have tried the Mystique SaTiX-S2 Dual.
    Maybe with Thor 3/5 &or Sirius 4?

Can the channelswitching be confirmed? Using a KNC1 tvstation DVB-S at the moment.
Not working as stable as it should;) = Low WAF

I'm using the new version 2 of the SaTiX-S2 Dual in combination with diseqc 4/1 switches with no problem.

Well.. except that I can't do a quick reboot my system because then the card seems to be in 'busy state' and doesn't give a signal. I have to wait 8 minutes so power drains out of everything and then it's fine to boot again.

Switching channels is quick compared to my floppydtv-s2.

Received my BGT3595 today as promised by Black and Gold. Will it be worth the wait. Unfortunately I will have to wait until the weekend to find out!!

    Will report back.

I just bought one of the Blackgold BGT3595 cards and at the moment I get no life out of the DVB-S tuners so best to avoid for the time being!

I also have never used a set-top box with MP, but I think that you need to use an IR emitter (aka "IR blaster"). The IRSS software controls the emitter, and transmits IR signals under the direction of MP. The IR signal is received by the IR receiver within the set-top box, and so can be used to change channel and so on. The set-top...

I've setup my HDHomeRun in MP1 as (4) IPTV cards rather than Atsc. I can see the (4) Atsc cards, but just have them disabled. I did it this way so I didn't have to edit the channel names every time tested a new TV-server install. Anyway, it works. I don't know if this would get you past the BDA driver issue. I'll provide more...

When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...
