What video codec settings are you using in your system. I am suffering from the same problem as the people above and want to see if it is codec pr renderer related.

After quite some testing, I found out that a lot of video's DO play, but a lot of video's don't either. Error message pops up: "Can't play video (Videoplayback?)"
At first I thought it was not caused by YouTubeFM because a lot of material cannot be played because of certain rights, but this error message occurs more often than in previous versions. But as I said, a lot of video's here play flawlessly. Am I the only one?

Codec settings: default installation of Alpha with LAV video and audio codecs, BUT default directsound audio device. (NOT MP audio renderer) The system is hooked to an amplifier with optical sp/dif cable. Cannot provide log files, because I am testing this alpha remotely on the system of a friend. Hope this is of any help?

Just tried the version for 1.3.0 Alpha and here all seems to work right - tested already 20 different videos, and all worked perfect

Hi Guys , if use SAF6 pack , all work fine for most videos , but like i said ... will rally be best if LAV pack will be supported too ...

Still, LAV filters are a great part of the SAF pack. If the SAF pack plays more video's, it must mean that you have configured your video codecs with FFDSHOW, of cyberlink decoder as well. Can you point out your codec configuration for the video part?

I can't get to play any video with the 0.8.2.258 and with the 0.8.3.316. I get the message "Unable to playback the item !"

I installed that new version, it seems it goes one step further now.
Now I guess, the remaining issue is a missing codec :

There is something I don't understand though
When I open the URL from the logs, I get a HTTP 403 error...
Maybe that would explain why the player can't play it lol ! But it doesn't explain why the plug-in list this video.
I've found a lot of a item in this case...

Yes it does look the same !
Unable to play video on screen, unable to render in logs with this version off YouTube.FM and HTTP 403 Forbidden in browser !
With almost all the "most viewed of all time" videos in the list for example
