      Dear Charli,

I hate myself for feeling the need to raise this minor point, but I have been reading a number of threads in the forum over the last week or so (as a "guest") and have recently noted your "quote"

There are 10 kinds of people who know Binary. Those that do and those that don't....

Well anyway, as petty as it may seem, everytime I saw it it kept kind of bugging me that I ddnt think it was quite as intended. I am guessing that I am missing some sort of irony here, but given the interpreted sentence (i.e. that there are 2 types of people that know binary, the following definition (those that do and those that dont) only goes as far as explaining one of the types that understand. The other type (those that dont) by implication dont understand. So really the begining should say there are "01" types of people that understand binary, which is of course no more cryptic in binary than in decimal.

Anyway, I have a point to all this rambling. I saw a similar one liner that may (though of course may not) be more what was intended, which was along the lines of..

There are 10 types of people that read this notice. Those that understand binary, and those that dont.

There....... no offence intended (it's obvious I'm not the grammar police by the state of my spelling and punctuation), just needed to get it out of my system....

And the compulsion had the additional benefit of my finally registering for the site.

back to the great forum now.
