Newbie trying to sort the TV channels

Well put simply if drivers ever cause the system to crash then the devs need to sort it out. Anyway I just put a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD in I found cheap ages ago. First scan I saw the LCN 10000 issue, second fine, all on defaults. Maybe its just my signal. Watching programs is fine. I did...

Newbie trying to sort the TV channels

Guess what card I've got .... yes TBS 6280. I never really liked it. The drivers crash (BSOD) on average about every 2-3 months. I did buy a new different card but I don't know where I put it.

Newbie trying to sort the TV channels

Oh dear, having said all that I just saw it LCN 10000 with PAT & CAT at 10. Although it seems more likely to work than with defaults, hard to say.

Newbie trying to sort the TV channels

Yesterday it took 6 attempts (with everything else the same) 5 with a bunch of LCN 10000 and the 6th go it had all the correct...

    High Definition bandwidth requirements

I've got a box with a Technisat SkyStar HD card in. I'm just starting to put the software on. Can anyone tell me what sort of bandwidth a 1080p stream uses over the network? Will I be needing Gigabit ethernet or will a wireless link do? Noticed D-Link are doing some ethernet over mains...
