Synopsis::
OK, before you slam me, please note that I was trying RC3 and found the problem, and decided the try the CVS just to see if it has been resolved, so this is not specific to the CVS version.
1. Previously, I had RC2 (which was working great) - this I uninstalled via Control Panel, Rebooted
2. Installed RC3 MSI
3. Run Configurator, go through wizard.
4. When going through the Wizard, I skip most of the stuff, TV/Radio tuning, Weather etc
5. Finish Wizard
6. Re-run the Configurator, hit error
---> MS .Net XML error:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
=========================
7. I can click on "Continue" and go on to configure all sorts of stuff
8. When I click on "OK" to save the configurations, several items cannot be saved or whoose settings are lost/revert to installation defaults. The settings "lost" include:
* All the Decoder settings in the Output Filter Decoder section
* Selection of my Remote Control
It should be noted of course that RC2 works great on this machine/settings, and I see RC3 and RC3+CVS as having this problem. Reverting to RC2 does not have this problem.
Solution:
It took me three days (sorry, I'm not too smart, I guess) to try to figure it out, but I finally managed to get it to work properly. My "Regional Language" settings in the control panel is "English (United States)", but I've customised the Date and time format to "dd/MM/yy" instead of the "M/d/yy" defaults. By changing it back to the default of "M/d/yy" or by Changing the Language to "English (United Kingdom)" which uses "dd/MM/yy" by default will it work properly.
Thanks!
Patrick
