    Hi all.

I wonder if others have troubles with dvd menu navigation, now when remotes config has changed from 1.15 to use HID devices.
:) I have tried a lot of things to make them work, without success.

On 1.15 they worked with MCE config just fine.

I use mounted dvd ISO files, and have tried o lot of different isos, and none works.

I would be grateful if I get some help.

Codecs are now DVD navigator, ffdshow vieo decoder, microsoft DTV-DVD audio decoder.
with 1.15 video decoder was cyberlink sp decoder

Can you describe your troubles with a little more detail?

Have you used the HID Demo to confirm that the correct commands are received from the remote?

Codecs are now DVD navigator, ffdshow vieo decoder, microsoft DTV-DVD audio decoder.
Note the log file says that MP is using LAV video instead of ffdshow. This could be because your ffdshow config makes it impossible to use for DVD playback. I don't know if that has any relevance to the issue at hand.

Hi, and thanks for the reply.

    Okay, i'll try to explain.
allmost every dvd has so called "main title" menu. I cannot use arrow keys on mce remote, or keyboard to navigate in that menu.

    That is "simple" description :)

anyway I changed video codec back to cyberlink sp, which has worked nicely with mp 1.15.

Hid demo shows, that up,down, left, right, return(enter) works ok,
and furthermore everything else in MP works with both remote and keyboard.
I suspect something in dvd handling(passing keypresses), or in my config, or in remote handling
is breaking it, because in 1.15 they worked.

Could it be that when settings that show in keysAndSounds.jpg are now greyed out in 1.16
    they may affect like this.

Hmmm, okay - that's very strange. For the remote/keyboard to work for regular navigation, and only not work for DVD navigation...

I'm not able to reproduce the problem here (keyboard only).

No, I'm 99.9% sure that's not the case.

    Hi.

    Thanks.

maybe i'll try to test clean install(backing up programdata and install dir first)

btw what codecs you use in DVD section, because they are cranky sometimes.

I was thinking maybe try the following HID settings (note profile and HID keyboard) first.

    I have LAV version 68.1.
DVD Navigator is the standard MS one (occasionally there are some benefits to staying with XP!).
[edit: Note I don't watch DVDs particularly often, but when I do, I haven't noticed problems with the above settings.]
