If you want to try/use it, DL TuneUp America - TuneUp Utilities 2009 (trial). I used the 2008 version, but guess it should work anyhow

Like I said,I only use TuneUp utilities ,, so I'm not sure, but I'll see what I can find out. TU2009 should work w/Vista, though.... ?


Btw: The screenshot has lower quality than then bootscreen (captured the preview).

never mind... thanks for the advice, although I am always sceptical with any "Tune up" utilities. So I might try the Vista Boot Logo Generator as schan adviced.

You can change boot screen in xp really easily without installing software
its in the wiki under general -> tips and tricks
you just create a 640x480 .bmp and stick it in the windows dir
and add /nobootgui /bootlogo in c:\boot.ini
Check the wiki for exact instructions.
