Ongoing 2 LNB's on one DVB-S card (1 Viewer)

I Have a question regarding my DVB-S card: Is it possible to add a second LNB through a diseqc switch? I mean does every card support a diseqc or is it possible that my card will not be able to switch lnb? And is there a possibility of damage to the card?

My card is the Gigabyte GT-PS700

No i don't think they do. I had a quick look at the spec of your card and it doesn't mention anything about being able to control a diseqc switch at all. I therefore assume that it doesn't work with one.

There may be other ways that you can do this but it will probably be a lot more involved than just getting a card that supports it natively.

Thanks Kev. Please elaborate on the above. I've been going through the datasheets of the decoder and tuner chips on the card but no hint among the technical stuff.

Unfortunately I have no further info on how you may be able to do that?
I am assuming that somewhere someone has probably done what you want, but with lord knows how many bits and pieces etc etc etc.
I would say it may be better (and easier) to get a card that does support the diseqc switching and then sell your card on fleabay.
