3 Hdd's 1 Movie Folder ?? (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

Just wondering i have 3 hard drives with movies on them and i would like it if there was only one movie folder which had all the movies from all 3 drives in the "My Videos" section.

Is there anyway to achieve this ?

Add all the drives and then scan them from Movie database, open MP\Movies left arrow brings up menu select change view to title, all will now show alphabetically.

Or better still try the Moving Picture Plugin, the advantage of this is, Auto updating.

if you are a bit of a control freak and don't like using the database (like me) there are other options.

In my movie folders on my hdd's I have GENRE folders.

these genre folders are spread across the hdd's.

"action" will be on one hdd and "drama" on another.

then in my mediaportal configuration I don't add a bunch of movie folders I add the separate genre folders.

Another option for you might be this:

mounting a drive on a folder.

Another more expensive option will be to get a raid card and set up jbod or different type of raid.
