OK I made something but can't test. It will show in plugins and you can configure it, so let's pray

Thanks for the try. I didnt know about this plugin. Indeed the IMON vfd works without the software.

Error after enabling is no other video will start.

Maybe it needs some of those old dll's, I even don't know how it could work after MP 1.0.0 because of many changes in TV engine and other MP dlls because this plugin depend on them (especially with current SVN).

Your new compiled plugin runs fine here on my setup (Antec Fusion v2 with VFD) without problems using the latest svn. Thank you very much!

This is quite offtopic, what you're discussing here - but I have to admit, that it's also interesting for me.
Do you use any other DLL's than these? What version of imon are you running? I'm running 7.92.xx and I don't how to get it run. The minidisplay plugin works only up to 7.77. What are de avantages compared to minidisplay?

The Externaldisplay.dll seems to work only with very old VFD firmware. I also have an Antec Veris Elite with VFD, but that does not work with the ExternalDisplay plugin. My three year old Antec Fusion case with VFD works (it is not built anymore, newer versions only have LCD). IMON software does not need to be installed - that is a big advantage for me.

Glad to help (I also checked it with dummy debug vfd driver and it worked ok), we just proved that old plugins can be brought to life so user doesn't need to loose anything with new plugin compatibility check, all we need is source and little time . I will see with the team where we can put those refurbished plugins for download so they don't need to be searched through the forum forest.
