I should probably not be replying anymore, but I can't resist it

A Mediacenter should be considered a dedicated machine that is sitting under your TV, or in a closet.. it's only purpose is to provide the functionality required to navigate and play Your media..
Video Editing software does not belong there.. I bet the editing software has installed specific filters that cause interference with MP..

I work in an IT environment, and we too have dedicated machines to do specific tasks, if a server is going to be used for another purpose, the first thing we do is format that machine before Exchange, or SQL server or any other software is installed, Why? because this is the only way for us to be sure that it will work as expected.. there were times when we didn't do this, and we spent hours and hours (never six months though.. :roll: ) on MSDN trying to find out why the hell SQL Server refused to authenticate Administrators...

my suggestion.. keep your video editing station, and if you are really ready to use a mediacenter..go out and buy a machine to do the job...
