I tried searching, but found no results for the following (noob) questions:

1. Is there a way to just list the files, instead of having to add them to a database... seeing as some files won't be found on IMDB (I really don't feel like manually adding a couple hundred video's...)

2. Is there anyway to get support for .FLV format videos? I searched for this first, but the result that came back, did not even contain the phrase (flv format).

Any help is appreciated! (I've used XBMC for years on the xbox, so I am used to it's configuration...)

With some deeper digging I found the needed information for the FLV codec support...

Goto MPC-HC homepage - Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Video Player
Click Download
Choose stand alone filters
Download the FLVSplitter.ax.zip file, and extract the filter from the .zip file using winzip or winrar.

Put the FLVSplitter.ax file into the C:\windows\system32 directory
Click on start menu, then click on "run"
Type "regsvr32 FLVsplitter.ax" and hit enter

Here is a direct link to the 32bit file - mpchc_x86_v1.2.908.0_FLVSplitter.zip

Answer to 1 is to change your view in MediaPortal to folder......it will give you a directory-structure. Alternatively try using the "MyFilms" or "MovingPictures" plug-ins, they have far better IMDB, Amazon etc lookup functions......and they look far better.

On question2, usually if your windows already can play FLV then all you have to do is add the .FLV extension in MediaPortal-Configuration.
