I'm sure that these have been asked many of times before, and I've done some searches and can't find some straight answers.

1 Is it possible to manually enter the frequencies for each channel?
If so what are the frequencies for 10, 2, sbs, 7, 9, in Australia?

2. Is this what the EPG does?

3.I have a NVIDIA 7600gt, should I use VMR9?

cheers

    1. Is it possible to manually enter the frequencies for each channel?
Yes, in MP Setup / Television / TV Cards / Edit. But you can simply run Autotune and MP will find all the channel information for you.

If so what are the frequencies for 10, 2, sbs, 7, 9, in Australia?
Well, that depends. What city are you in, and are you referring to analog or digital channels?

    2. Is this what the EPG does?
    No, not in Australia.

    3.I have a NVIDIA 7600gt, should I use VMR9?
MP will only use VMR9 - you don't have the choice.

    Thanks Taipan for your answer.
The reason why I ask about the tuner is because I have some probs sometin=mes with signal drop-outs and I noticed that '10 HD Brisbane' is a slightly different tune to '10 HD'.
So I wanted to know what were the specified frequencies, so I could check them and if I had to manually re-enter them.
I have seen one web site that is surpose to tell me the frequencies, but it doesn't seem right.
Do you or any others have a link or somthing to where the channels freq's would be?
I am looking for the digital and HD frequencies.
    Thanks again.
    cheers

You can look up the channel frequencies for Brisbane here.

Note that the SD channels and HD channels share the same frequency for each station - its the PID value that determines which particular stream (SD or HD) is viewed/recorded.

I don't understand what you mean by this - "I noticed that '10 HD Brisbane' is a slightly different tune to '10 HD'". Could describe it in more deatil - I might be able to help...:)
