Hello,
I wanted to create a working HTPC for my dad a loong time ago. Then there was an early version of mediaportal availabe (0.0.0.2) or something like that. But it was very buggy and did not work out. I was anyway intrested and trying new versions. When Media Portal 1.0 RC1 came out I noticed the new awesome installer and intalled it and noticed that it actually works!

I think that it had only one bigger bug: sometimes the channeld change seized to work. I'm using a mediaportal remote, and the channels won't change from the channel +/- buttons or from the number buttons. Only way to do the change is trough EPG:s "change to this channel".

Then RC2 came out and I immediately installed it. I was bummed that by installing it I lost all the old configurations! And it still has the channel change bug and few new problems:

1. The computer has 2 displays, 22" LCD-screen and 32" LCD-TV. The mediaportal is opening to the TV so that Windows XP can be used normally in the 22" screen. In RC1 this worked just fine but in RC2 the MediaPortal is taking the focus. So if click for example in firefox's adress bar to write something, the focus is lost immediately to MediaPortal. So in order to use the computer I have to shut down the MediaPortal.

2. Rewinding/Fast-Forwarding DVB-t recordings with higher speeds (16x / 32x) crashes the mediaportal, witch didn't happen with RC1

Otherwise I'm looking forward to MediaPortal 1, if these few bugs are fixed it's an awesome piece of software!

What is MediaPortal remote(i'm using MCE & works out of the box when enabled in MP config -> remote + MCE enabled)?
Never had problems with channel change & + -

Some changes required fresh install to get MP better & thats how it is ;)
Btw turn off in MP Config -> General -> Keep MediaPortal on Top & see if focus still it's lost

    2. Rewinding/Fast-Forwarding DVB-t recordings with higher speeds (16x / 32x) crashes the mediaportal, witch didn't happen with RC1
Doesn't crash here, but guess it depends on how well codecs handle it(i'm using M$ video codecs & PDVD 8 video codecs as a test, for audio i use M$ & ffdshow)

It's not about the remote. This happens ocationally, not always. But when it happens, restarting MediaPortal is the only answer. Earlyer I found a bug report about this problems, but couldn't find it anymore. In that bug report the reported found the problem in some codecs, but I don't even have those codecs.

Btw turn off in MP Config -> General -> Keep MediaPortal on Top & see if focus still it's lost
    Thanks :D

Have to try different codecs, maybe they will fix the channel change problem too :D

Thank you for you answers, have to try different things.
