I've been having a few problems recently, which may or may not be related. All of these symptoms started after a format and complete re-install (due to other problems which have now gone away)
I am using the PVR-150 connected to a satellite receiver through composite connectors.
1) First problem, if I watch TV without timeshifting, sound is very jumpy, and picture starts to jump too. CPU usuage is still very low at this point. After a few seconds sound is non existent, and picture is very jumpy. (seems to lose frames). If I use timeshifting, this problem goes away, but then I have other problems, see below.
2) When watching Live TV (TimeShifted), or even recordings, the picture occasionally freezes. I have to switch off the TV-ON button, and on again to get it to restart. I can't detect any pattern to this, although it happens most when I'm watching something that is still recording.
3) When watching Live TV or even recordings, fast forward and rewind seem to lose track of where they are. If I press forward when watching a recording, the recording jumps back about 7-12 minutes for no apparent reason. If I then catch up, press play for a while and try again, it still jumps back, but maybe a few seconds this time. If I leave it play for a good 20 minutes and try fast forward again, it will jump back the 7-12 minutes again.
4) Perhaps related to 3, the recording times look wrong. When I know I have say 30 mins recorded, it may sometimes show 0 mins or 3 hrs. Again no pattern to this!
I have tried changing codecs, to no avail. I think 2-4 above are related to timeshifting, which I could live without were it not for issue 1.
I didn't have these problems before the format.
Any ideas?
